Conference CODATU XVI : registration is open!

From 2 to 5 february 2015 - Istanbul (Turkey)

CODATU XVI Conference, organized by CODATU in partnership with İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ) will be held in Istanbul from 2 to 5 February 2015. The theme of the conference is "The role of urban transport policies and countermeasures in developing countries and emerging economies". By adressing climate issues associated with urban transport, the conference aims to be a step on the path to an agreement in Paris during the COP21 in December 2015.

CODATU is willing to mobilize decision-makers to work on the possibilities and options to transform urban transport system towards greater sustainability. This initiative aims to strengthen solidarity between local authorities dealing with climatic changes through a transfer of know-how contributing to the development of sustainable urban mobility in the South.

Seminar on "Climate change: A common opportunity to transform urban transport"

 CNAM and CODATU are pleased to invite you to the one-day seminar to be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Paris on the theme: "Climate change: A common opportunity to transform urban transportation." This event is intended to show the role that urban transport can play in the fight against climate change and become a vehicle for structuring a sustainable city.  It also aims to mobilize the public decision-makers and stakeholders on the perspectives of voluntary commitments before 2020 so they will be included as efforts on the “positive agenda”.

CODATU at the next CIVITAS Forum

From 23 to 26 September 2014 - Casablanca (Morocco)

Casablanca will be the first non-european city to hold the CIVITAS Forum annual conference that will take place from 23rd to 26th September 2014 on "Urban mobility and social inclusion – Planning accessibility for more sustainable cities" . The choice of Casablanca as hosting city seals the cooperation between the CIVITAS Initiative and the Euromed Road, Rail and Urban transport project. CODATU will organize a special session on "Cooperation Initiatives for urban mobility in the Mediterranean region."

Launch of the Permanent Scientific and Technical Committee of CODATU

In order to strengthen its scientific and technical activities beyond Conferences CODATU, the General Council of CODATU wished to revive activities of the Scientific and Technical Committee Permanent (CSTP) for the period 2013-2016. This committee has a supporting role in the identification of the main issues of urban mobility in developing countries and particularly those that feed the debate between research and operational.
