CODATU XVI Conference, organized by CODATU in partnership with İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ) will be held in Istanbul from 2 to 5 February 2015. The theme of the conference is "The role of urban transport policies and countermeasures in developing countries and emerging economies". By adressing climate issues associated with urban transport, the conference aims to be a step on the path to an agreement in Paris during the COP21 in December 2015.
CODATU is willing to mobilize decision-makers to work on the possibilities and options to transform urban transport system towards greater sustainability.This initiative aims tostrengthen solidaritybetween localauthorities dealing withclimatic changesthrough atransfer of know-how contributing to the developmentof sustainableurban mobility inthe South.

Casablanca will be the first non-european city to hold the CIVITAS Forum annual conference that will take place from 23rd to 26th September 2014 on "Urban mobility and social inclusion – Planning accessibility for more sustainable cities" . The choice of Casablanca as hosting city seals the cooperation between the CIVITAS Initiative and the Euromed Road, Rail and Urban transport project. CODATU will organize a special session on "Cooperation Initiatives for urban mobility in the Mediterranean region."

Nantes metropolitan authority has been selected by the European Cyclist Federation to organise the Velo-City congress in Nantes in 2015 from 2 to 5 June 2015. A Call for papers has been launched and the submission deadline is the 31th of October 2014. It is open for decisions makers, academic searchers, experts in cycling policy, NGO, etc.
CODATU invites you to answer to this survey about non motorization modes of transport in developing cities. It is part of a research in Urban Studies done by a student hosted in CODATU for an internship.
