The caseshavebeen updated, new examples have been addedandthe analytical frameworkhas been refined. This publication presents a frame of reference for decision-makers, in both the North and South, who would be brought to think about the organisation and financial structure of the urban transportation system which offers the best fit with their city’s requirements and particularities.

February the 2nd to the 5th – Istanbul, Turkey
The CODATU XVI Conference, organized by CODATU in association with the İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ), will take place in Istanbul from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2015. It will treat the subject “Energy, climate and air quality challenges: the role of urban transport policies in developing countries and emerging economies”. Debates and presentations will turn around the issue of urban transport and climate change, making the conference a milestone of the way to COP21 in Paris (December 2015).
