[Event] COP20: Mobilisation of urban transport stakeholders

From 1st to 12th of December 2015 - Lima (Peru)

The Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport  (SLoCaT) and Bridging the Gap Initiative will also organize a Transport Day 2014 in the context of COP 20, which will this year be in Lima, Peru. Pierre Serne, vice president of the Ile-de-France and member of CODATU board will present during this event the commitments and hopes from the host region of the COP21.

[Conference] CODATU XVI: local decision makers involved!

From 2nd to 5th of February 2015 - Istanbul (Turkey)

Gustavo Petro, mayor of Bogota, Mohamed Sajid, mayor of Casablanca, Gérard Collomb mayor of Lyon will speak at CODATU XVI which will be hold in Istanbul from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2015. Suzana Kahn Ribeiro, vice-chair of IPCC, Michael Replogle (ITDP) et Dario Hidalgo (Embarq) will present the potential contribution of urban transport in climate change mitigation. David Banister (Oxford University) and Sanjivi Sundar (TERI) will open the scientific programme.

[Publication] urban mobility in developing countries, a major challenge for climate

More and more, policy makers working on climate issues find that we can not maintain the 2°C target without transformation of the transport sector. CODATU provides informations (in French) to show the link between urban transport and climate change. It should give keys to  understanding to those who wish to innovate in the urban transport sector in order to tackle climate change.

[Séminar] Report on the seminar "Climate change: a common opportunity to transform urban transport?"

This one-day seminary aimed to gather decision makers, national and international urban transport experts to highlight the role of sustainable urban mobility on climate change mitigation. You will find a summary of the presentations made during this event which was the kick-off CODATU activities about urban mobility and climate, on the way to COP21.

[Call] We have much more than transport in common

Endorse the declaration...

In October, CODATU launched, with its partners, this declaration to contribute to the preparation of COP21 that will be held in Paris in December 2015. The association invites particularly the local decision makers to sign it, but all the stakeholders of urban transport sector and citizens can get involved in this dynamic to double the strength of this initiative.
